Spring 2013 animes
Sunday, April 7, 2013

what a long day.
woke up at 5am in the morning to 扫墓。
humans are probably born with the innate tendency to procrastinate. since this is the last 2nd weekend to do so, the traffic jam was ridiculous. ><

been watching too much shows recently instead of doing any revision. just can't help it.
all the spring 2013 anime and dramas are coming up, how to resist.

some of the better ones this season.

Devil Survivor 2: The Animation.

"Japan has suddenly fallen into an extreme situation, and behind the chaos is a group of mysterious invaders, called the Septentriones, who are flinging the entire nation into the depths of despair. As this epic, cruel reality continues to trifle with the people, thirteen individuals with unique characteristics form contracts with demons to become the "Devil Summoners," giving them the power to fight the invaders."

it's really like the 2013 version of digimon, instead of using digivices to summon their monsters, this time round they use cellphones and there's even a summoning app. (I WANT THAT APP)
but so far so good. this is definitely the current top of my to-watch list.

Shingeki no Kyojin.

"Several hundred years ago, humans were nearly exterminated by giants. Giants are typically several stories tall, seem to have no intelligence, devour human beings and, worst of all, seem to do it for the pleasure rather than as a food source. A small percentage of humanity survived by walling themselves in a city protected by extremely high walls, even taller than the biggest of giants.

Flash forward to the present and the city has not seen a giant in over 100 years. Teenage boy Eren and his foster sister Mikasa witness something horrific as the city walls are destroyed by a super giant that appears out of thin air. As the smaller giants flood the city, the two kids watch in horror as their mother is eaten alive. Eren vows that he will murder every single giant and take revenge for all of mankind."

surprisingly decent. a brand new plot that i've never encountered before, giant invaders.
what's with all the monster invasion shows this season?
the first episode was catchy enough for me to crave for seconds.

RDG Red Data Girl.

"A modern fantasy based on Japanese Shinto legends. Suzuhara Izumiko is a 15-year-old girl, who has been raised and protected in a shrine deep in the Kumano mountains. She is quite shy and destroys all the electric devices she touches. When she begins to think about going out of the mountains and moving to the city, her guardian Sagara Yukimasa recommends her to enter a high school in Tokyo and forces his son Miyuki to serve Izumiko for life. Miyuki and Izumiko repel each other but their relationship begins to change when a terrifying accident occurs on the school excursion. Izumiko learns her fate as the last representative (yorishiro) of a Himegami goddess and Miyuki learns of his duty as a guardian Yamabushi of Izumiko. "

this is for the art. not the best but probably one of the better ones so far.
story wise, it seems rather draggy. maybe episode 2 will prove me wrong.
