things i do when lectures do not seem to appeal at all - dramas.
and these are my new found loves.
Biblia Koshodou no Jiken Techou
'This story takes place at an antiquarian bookshop on a secluded corner of Kamakura, Japan's ancient capital, called Biblia Antiquarian bookshop. The owner of the shop is Shinokawa Shioriko, a young and beautiful woman who is overly shy and finds it difficult to converse upon meeting someone for the first time. On the other hand, the abundance of her knowledge in antiquarian books is second to none. When she speaks about these classic books, passion overcomes shyness and she becomes the most eloquent storyteller. Shioriko is your guide to unravelling the secrets and mysteries of antiquarian books through her vast knowledge on the subject and sharp observant eyes.'

there's more to a book than meets the eye, every book itself has a story behind it.
in short, it's a mystery drama that is related to books.
although i'm not a person who's fond of books, the last book i've completed is probably Enid Blyton's series during primary school. still, this show is probably one of the more interesting ones this season and the reasoning behind every incident makes complete sense. i'm a sucker for mystery shows afterall.
Dinner
'This drama follows the staff of an Italian restaurant and their everyday struggles. "Roccabianca" is a famous and popular Italian restaurant, but their head chef and owner Tatsumi suddenly collapses and the restaurant loses its unique flavor. The number of customers rapidly declines, but the owner's daughter and deputy manager Saori happens to find another chef named Ezaki through an online job market who learned cooking at the same place her father did. Ezaki becomes the new head chef of this restaurant and while nobody can deny that he is a gifted chef, it's his extreme rationalism that doesn't exactly go well with the restaurants attempt to save its traditional flavor.'
