how yesterday went.

too much time to spare recently.

met up a lil too early with the girls.

ended up catching Iron Man 3.

virgin movie at Shaw Theaters @ Bugis Junction and probably my last.

we were sitting at F in the center column. the elevation was soooo bad.

the seat was almost vertically upright and the screen was like ridiculously high up for a row F.

...my neck almost broke. when will they ever consider the elevation of the seats from the perspective of shorter souls.

rant so much that i forgot to comment about the movie itself.

it was good...from the latter half onwards. almost dozed off initially but once the interesting part comes in, it's pretty much enjoyable throughout. :) still, a good movie.

BlackBall afterwards while waiting for birthday girl to arrive.

chewy and milky. but still a lil too bland for me. i actually thought there would be more taste to it.

and that the blackball is actually a ball and not some grass jelly.

met up with birthday girl and head down to Barber Shop by Timbre @ The Arts House.
a pint and two pizzas to share. thank goodness we were early, the seats were really limited.
chose Barber Shop instead of Timbre itself for the aircon before we start vaporizing under the heat.

i guess the difference between Art House's and Substation's is the atmosphere.
Substation's was more relax and chilled, majority were teens and young adults.
Arts House's wise was definitely more atas. more suited to working adults.
so yeah, we were the anomalies.

GOODFELLAS $20

Plump prawns with a curry garlic butter base, cereal oats and mozzarella cheese on a thin crust. Topped with crispy eggs batter.

ROASTED DUCK $20

Roasted duck breast, sauté shiitake mushroom with hoisin sauce, topped with mozzarella cheese and crispy popiah skin.

both were good but i still prefer the roasted duck compared to goodfellas which pretty much taste like aglio olio pizza version. though the roasted duck was a lil too salty for others.

celebrated JL's birthday afterwards. another one to join the 2-digit group.

made the penguin card, a very impromptu gift, and some cupcakes to share.

who knows 10 years down the road, we might be laughing our heads off these photos. ^^
