Bintan Agro Resort 2D1N
Saturday, August 3, 2013
scheduled post is up as you can see, to entertain you guys while i'm away for a trip to Batam.
for now, shall leave you with everything about our 2d1n trip to Bintan.
*warning: image heavy*
went to Bintan with the girls plus ape's dad. bought a deal online for a total of ~S$130.
the deal includes:
2D1N stay at Argo Beach Resort.
- Complimentary welcome drink
- Breakfast buffet
- Ferry and land transfer
- 30min massage
- Mangrove tour
- Indonesian lunch
- 1 bowling game
come to think of it, it's a pretty worth it deal.
this is how the resort looks like. we had two twin rooms that were interlinked at the back door directly facing the beach. while right infront of our doorstep is the pool. the pool is rather small but it looks pretty. and the fact that there's almost nobody there is such a plus point to go on a weekday. actually we have been to this resort during our bintan trip in IJC before, not to stay but went to the beach for some bonding activities. such vague memories of that pathetic camp. sounds abit harsh but really i've barely any fond memories of it. only memory is the fact that we all sneaked out in the middle of the night to gather and watch sunrise. day 1. ferry at Tanah Merah at 1135am. reached the resort at roughly 1plus (bintan time). spent the whole day chilling away at the pool, eating and eating, sing k, drinking and more eating. oh and not forgetting to spam photos.
day 2.
went to the mini-zoo with elephants, one horse (yes, just one small horse), birds, snakes and fishes. that's pretty much about it.
mangrove tour afterwards. the exact place where we did our mangrove replanting during our bintan trip 3years ago. not sure where's my seedling now though.
indonesian buffet afterwards at a kelong in the middle of the mangrove area.
back to Nirwana Resorts/Gardens for our 30minutes massage. rather comfortable so extended to 60minutes with additional S$15.
bowling and pool session afterwards before we headed back to sg.
day 2 was practically almost foc. only thing we had to pay was the extended massage and pool session.
now onto the finale. a collage of all the food we had during the trip.
basically there's only two dining areas found at Bintan Argo Beach Resort.
SUNMOON provides rather affordable zi char styled dishes that taste really good.
Things to note for a trip to Bintan: - Bintan is one hour slower than Singapore's time. - sockets provide the same voltage so no adapters are required. - almost everywhere accepts SGD so there's no need to change to rupiah. that's about it. it's so damn chillax that time seems to pass so slowly. 2d1n felt more like 4d3n. recommended for working adults to come and slow down the fast paced city life. just take a break from everything and relax. now you'll have to wait for my Batam trip post which will be up sooooon once i'm back. :)
