omg. there's sooo many backlogs to clear before i can proceed onto 2016.

shall quickly bring you guys through my last two weeks of december in 2015!

tried baking the bread + egg + ham + tomatoes in a muffin pan recipe. turns out pretty well but halfway through i kinda wanna slap myself for not just frying an egg and kiap between my bread. why go through all the trouble of cutting the ham&tomamtoes into smaller slices, placing it into a muffin tin and baking it. why i 自找苦吃.

went to the Popular Book Buffet warehouse sale on xmas eve with the girls. holy shit, the amount of people. we spent more time queueing than searching for books. ended up getting 4 books since each is only less than $2. so cheap. but im still not a book person. tried reading it but gave up after a few pages. never was a book person, never will. anyway that chinese book is for my mom. not me. lol.

had a pretty good meal at Montana cafe located in PoMo. but we didn't try the signature instagramed dish. tried the smoked salmon carbonara which wasn't too bad but abit too gelat.

went to Hideout afterwards for some console gaming. cheapcheap when there's the pie for 5 deal. but sadly most of the games are for 4players. we tried a battle game which was pretty fun haha. have no idea wad the heck we are doing.

did some painting before meeting clique for our xmas party. selling my abstract art pieces for 10bucks each. cheap cheap.

had steamboat session for our christmas party. not sure why but every gathering has turned into a steamboat event for us. it almost feels like cny everytime.

and not forgetting our xmas exchange which buff and i lost to a stone and had to wash the dishes. look at all those dishwashing liquid, bleach and handsoap. sibei 用心良苦 sia they really hate to wash the dishes so badly. that was possibly the most retarded exchange ever but maybe the most hilarious one of all. this bunch of peeps never fail to make my day.

met cy and jl on sun for dinner. tried the multicolor xlb and it pretty much taste the same as the original. only some subtle difference which was negligible. tried once and enough. some catching up session and we forgot to take our very rare group shot. :(

anyway side track abit, there's this half black half white face cat loitering around my block everyday in the evening. apparently it's trying to follow anyone into the lift and i had to try to get it out. sometimes it gets to my 8th floor and loiters around the corridor. if i see you again, maybe i shall call you oreo?

and off we go to bali with this retarded bunch of peeps~

stayed at Villa Teko near north kuta. pretty good location though further away from the beach. it was a pretty good deal. and we have a very friendly housekeeper who makes breakfast for us everyday. yay.

the trip was much more fun than i've expected. we were pretty meh about flying off like no feel but turns out this boot-camp-like journey was filled with much new experience and definitely better because of you guys.

cant believe i'm back to reality and it's one last semester of fyp + job hunting + 4months of virtual dating + grad trip + idk what else is there during the later half of the year.

and so, i'm back from our 3D2N trip over to genting. sadly, it's back to reality and school's starting all over again tomorrow. sad sad. there goes the recess week. :(

so met at mac 5am for breakfast and board our WTS Gold coach. not sure why is it gold (it could have been a silver) and we got the last row on the upper deck which means more leg space and compartment. best seats man. roughly 6hours journey up and we arrived at mushroom farm around 1230pm. i supposed there are some construction work ongoing and all tour buses had to drop off at mushroom farm. subsequently, transfer to the shuttle bus which comes every 15min to send us over to First World.

now that they have the automatic check-in machine electronic version, checking in was such a breeze, i remembered waiting nearly an hour previously for counter check-in.

kinda wasted that we forgot to sign up for the rwg card on the first day. didn't know that there will be free concert ticket given out. the magic show was only available on mon so we missed it having applied the card on tues. sad.

so the first meal we had was actually....kfc. LOL. we were so freaking hungry by then, anything will do. and msia's kfc is always nicer than sg's. price wise it's the same actually. the price at genting have mostly increased so the food actually cost the same as sg.

one round of bowling session and as usual i lost to the boy hurhur. 没有手下留情的。and in the midst of the game my thumbnail crack as usual and almost tore into the skin so we stop after one game. it always happen when i play bowling, my thumb nail will definitely crack. just that it was a lil more serious this time. must be the way i throw the ball, but that's like muscle memory, i can't really help it. so just let it crack every bowling time liao. bo bian.

sang k for 2hours of entertainment and caught Maze Runner afterwards. tried out the premium seat for 19RM each that comes with drink + popcorn + a packet of peanuts. cheap leh. the cinema is the cheapest thing at genting lol. and the seat is decently comfy with good elevation for short people like me. and the movie was awesome. :D

every few hours there will be performance on stage. and just nice we got to see the guy who was damn good at juggling balls, torch, etc.

dinner at some shop which i can't rmb the name because the food scarred me, nono i mean scalded my tongue. dunno why i gei kiang go order tomyam noodle. turns out is asam tomyam and omg fucking spicy. literally burning my tongue so only ended up eating the 料 and forgo-ed the noodles. thank goodness the popcorn was still in my tummy then so wasn't that hungry.

no casino on day 1 cause we decided to leave it to day 2 just in case we run out of entertainment lol.

based on my parents' recommendation, we went to eat the breakfast buffet at first world lvl 8. was really really affordable considering that a meal outside cost at least 15RM anyway. the buffet was only 20+RM. spread was decent and the mee goreng was yumzzz.

so afterwards went to play some arcade shooting game, mario kart, sonic kart, and the game scam our money so we didn't get to play bball. lol. and since we were already at Genting Grand's casino, signed up for the rwg membership and not sure why we got the silver card immediately, doesn't really matter to us lol.

as expected, the only affordable table is roulette. each play is 20rm. so we just went in and stood at the first roulette table we saw and my inner gambling addict pull the boy to change chips and play immediately LOL. anyway we only changed 50rm each so that's like a total of 5 chip for us to play nia. hahah i swear the ppl around were like 小弟弟小妹妹你们在做什么. and cause we hum, only dare to play 1-3 chip per round and only place it at corners. 1:8 payout.

but the boy was freaking lucky and kept winning initially while i only won like 2chip? i was helping him to lose his winnings LOL.

everyone was pretty friendly at the table so there was smiles and chat going around. then the ah ma beside us who was about to go off just randomly mentioned two numbers that she was pretty sure gonna open before she left. and thanks to the ah ma, i bought her two numbers and won three corners immediately after. wow, luck is such a mysterious thing.

actually, one purpose of the trip was to buy a pair of nike shoe since there was a nike factory outlet store. but after looking through on day 1, the price was still a little steep.

but thanks to ah ma, the boy and i split our winnings and the casino just sponsored my pair of nike shoe while the boy had an all expense paid trip to genting. LOL.

caught Everest movie afterwards. bought the normal seat for 14RM. it was quite a touching movie, more of sad actually...and not as draggy as i've expected it to be.

dinner at foodcourt. tried out the tw stall. not bad. not that i've tried real authentic tw cusine so not here to judge.

lol and more casino afterwards. went over to first world's casino this time round and we just lost back our initial chip from previous game and decided to stop for the day.

nothing much on day 3 just nua sai until check out and bus home.

spend the rest of the week trying to catch up with my entire sem of major pe that i've no clue what's going on. that's the con of having no tutorial. never really bothered to do any questions during the first half of the sem. now recess week then chiong. by far only managed to cover 2/4 modules. and recess week has ended. nooo.

we went to try out the new western stall at woodlands cc. saw it on facebook. the serving size is quite large but the price is $6++ generally for mains. considering it's at a foodcourt place, i supposed the price is slightly steep. there's aglio and other mains as well, we only tried the burgers. anyway, many people were eating the mookata over there. seriously, i didn't even know there was such a stall. when did this place become so popz?

hi guys. im back from our 2d1n trip over to batam~

before that, i've made some chocolate cookies on sun but due to lack of time (had to prepare to go ah ma house), quickly used all the batter and made two batches. the second one had so much batter that my cookies are so fucking fat now. added some nutella in it but no time to tweak the timing to find the appropriate time such that the nutella would flow out in the center. shall try again next time when i have a full free day. probably dont have such a day until the end of io. :(

bought a 2d1n batam deal with the boy to satisfy my short getaway desire. i've no idea how did genting became yc house and ended up into a batam trip. it's pretty much a typical one-day tour package with batamfast and one night stay at Novotel Hotel.

thought i wouldn't be back anytime soon. but went to check on my previous posts, the last time i've went was actually 3 years ago. omg doesn't even feel like three years have passed since then.

met the boy at 6 and train down to catch out 0820 ferry. met with guide over at sekupang and several other travel mates. and just so coincidentally, ziling was on the same bus as us with her bf and friends. lol the world cannot be any smaller.

brought us over to a still-building-in-process temple dedicated to Zheng He and he was actually a muslim. didn't know that lol. anyway, if you wanna know how bright and sunny it was in batam, just check out how white my face is in that photo. nope, no foundation or any cc cream on my face.

brought us over to a batik shop selling local products and Golden Factory Outlet. nothing much to get there. there was a go-kart area but it was so hot everyone just wanted to hide in the shades and eat some ice cream. at least we were really lucky that it didn't rain that day even though the weather forecast said so. the boy's overwhelming presence as usual. #bhb

bought some snacks and this orangey prawn cracker is actually quite nice!

lunch over at Golden Prawn 933 restaurant included in the package. like what all reviewers said, the food was really bad. no lies. hard rice and tasteless dishes. the best would probably be the kang kong and fried sotong.

anyway, even the drinks were a lie. lol what's with fake coke and sprite?

it's okay, i was well prepared for this after reading all the reviews before the trip.

went to another factory outlet store, a tua pek kong temple, chocolate factory and Diane's kueh lapis. all these are places that we've went before during our previous trip to batam so nothing much for us to see either.

so the main purpose of the package was the massage at Sawadika. had the traditional massage without the additional aromatherapy + 30min upgrade. we tried that last time round and ended up all gooey and oily. yuck. so now we are smart enough to just stick to the original 1hour massage included in the package.

dropped us off at Batam City Square (BCS) mall for an hour shopping trip while some of the guest who stayed nearer to bcs went for their check-in.

we've been here previously so there really wasn't much to see either. i was more interested in Nagoya Hill and Megamall. bought some snacks from the supermart. the only thing that's cheap in Batam is the food. it's ridiculously cheap. that a meal can cost around 1 to 2 sgd. the arcade is 10cent sgd per token and every attraction is like 2tokens lol. cheap thrills. bought a denim outerwear at a not really cheap price but too lazy to bargain since we only left less than 5min to gather. we really had too much rupiah to spare.

the guide then send us off one by one to our specific hotels to check-in. he personally helped with every single check-in process and ensured that we are safe and sound. the guide was really so friendly we don't mind tipping him and the driver 10bucks. a really friendly guide and funny too with alot of general knowledge to share about batam. his name is Fendi - totally recommended. he even offered to get a chinese speaking cab for us to go Nagoya Hills but we couldn't contact him later on cause his battery was flat LOL.

so we checked in at Novotel. spacious room. really love the bed cause it's at the right hardness for me. the boy finds it too hard though haha. so comfy.

couldn't contact Fendi so we ended up getting the direct cab from the Novotel taxi counter at a fix rate of 5bucks for one direction. pretty ex but we are really too lazy to find alternatives. initially wanted to walk over for 20min. what a stupid idea. the path weren't even well-lit and it's not even walkable. lol. thank goodness we decided to get a cab instead.

went over to Nagoya Hill, the largest shopping mall in Batam. about the size of jurongpoint.

had our appetizer for dinner at A&W. haha possibly my first time trying it out. not bad but the root beer float is really gigantic we couldn't even finish half of it.

had our main dinner at Gadeno New York pizza and steak. it really taste like the food i've had in JB. i think local food would taste better in batam than such western food. too full to try out bak kut teh which our tour guide suggested though.

so we just spend the night exploring Nagoya Hill before cabbing back to hotel.

breakfast included in hotel. the pancakes and eggs were probably the best. the soy milk taste really "fresh" not like artificially sweet.

how can someone's nostrils be so big?

another guide came over to send us to Batam Center ferry terminal which is located beside Megamall. just nice a new mall to explore before heading home. but all three shopping malls actually have similar stuff so nothing special. the boy decided to get a nike pants at a slight discount since we were still left with too much rupiah.

ferry back to sg and had our late lunch cum dinner over at vivocity.

tried the ramen at Menya Musashi. opted for the white broth (normal) with cha shu. not bad but definitely not as good as ippudo nor the legendary ichiran. we still miss that so much~

got myself a 5dollar top from cotton on and decided that we are too poor to shop in vivo haha. all we have left are many many rupiahs and no more sgd.

back home to catch up with family, daily life and some games and shows.

time to head over to school tomorrow to settle fyp. reality is back again
