updating every two weeks is a bad idea. i can't even remember what has happened over the past week, not to say the week prior.
shared 60 lines of system 6 with clique for ang bao draw. AND WE WON...a $10. lolol. suprisingly attendance was pretty good this year. our yearly cny steamboat event.
many many impromptu things happened along the week but was too lazy to snap photos.
had mj session while waiting for sm's birthday cake to be baked. celebrated at zi char place beside semb bmf.
and that's our dung + worms cake. haha taste pretty decent despite the looks of it.
bought the grad piggy for en. hahaha it's so cute and suits her. the bear was from her teacher, the specs look so apt.
too many impromptu sessions happening recently. k session + mj session.
thought i should get myself a decent length dress for interview plus future potential work use. the usual white button shirt + black skirt is really too much of a trouble.
and i have finally got myself a new pairs of sandals. that's still cutting the side of my legs today. i have really thin feet skin. always blister regardless of slipper, sandals, flats. :(
tried the new mac breaded salmon burger. not worth the hype. lolol. lets just stick to filet-o-fish.
got myself a haircut back at my usual comfort place in yishun. the lady and ladyboss are patient and kind people who are really sincere in their work. you don't really have to pay huge bucks for a simple haircut.
movie with the guys. London Has Fallen. a sequel to Olympus Has Fallen.
very very similar to ohf. the good guy never dies regardless of gun shot / cut wounds. but still it's probably one of the nicer movie in 2016 so far. action packed and pretty exciting.
randomly agreed to a 2d1n chalet at d'resort on sat itself. too much impromptu and efficiency.
just nice no tuition on sun and it's not like i'm gonna do any fyp on a sat. why not.
so it's just 5 of us for a random night stay at the Rainforest theme room. steamboat for dinner and more gambling session over the night. chat till possibly 7am before we had like 2 hours of sleep. first time we each had a bed to ourselves. LOL
nap a lil just now and joined my neighbour 8th floor yearly gathering event for dinner. pot luck session as always. now im back to lepaking with no hopes of touching fyp today. damn, i wanna enjoy&slack somemore. why is it back to reality so soon.

Y4S1 Week 5 & Week 6
Thursday, September 17, 2015
who else has fallen into the hands of the haze? *hands up* sick girl since the day after night safari. a random flu + cough + tons of phlegm. yes, i totally blame the haze. otherwise, my only illness usually sprouts from a tonsil infection. it's very uncommon for me to be down with a flu first. explains why all the photos/snapchat are just me and mao. sick girl can't do much. so let's see what happened before i fell sick last week. monday probably the only day i went school in week 5? don't really remember what happened on that day. oh yeah went for lectures and sick zhao might have passed her virus to me. LOL. no la i still think is the haze. #everythingblamehaze tuesday as usual fucking slack day at home. did more jelly experiment so that at least there's some data to show prof on following week. im so sure this experiment is bound to be filled with tons of error. but it's okay something to show better than nothing. wednesday since second lecturer decided to upload tutorial solution. no longer any incentive to go for early morning lesson. just pon. my last sem of modules feels like the slackest. so if all goes well this sem, 0aus next sem + fyp? anyway, met up with the boy to book our 3D2N genting trip for recess week. cheap cheap $83 including two night stay and return coach. i thought supposed to have a RM40 dining voucher but maybe not. nvm~ cab to night safari afterwards. around $10? too lazy to change bus here and there. just in case you aren't aware, night safari is having a SG50 promo right now for the entire month of September. Half price $21 for admission between sunday to thursday excluding eve & ph. seriously, it's not worth it to pay 42bucks for this small park. that discount is the only reason why i dragged the boy there now.
had a mini shopping spree on carousell. kinda obsessed over shift dresses so i bought a few. the sad part is why are they all so short? it's not like i'm tall or what, i'm just a puny 155cm girl. how is it that the dresses are like tops to me?
so that stripe dress is the only one that has a pretty decent length. bad fashion choice for night safari. the material is kinda thick. thank goodness it rained that day so it was rather cooling at night. otherwise, i would have probably soak my dress with sweat.
it took us around 3hours to finish touring the entire park. rode the tram once + completed all the walking trails + caught the performance once. so i suggest you go early like 7pm if possible.
hohoho. immediately fever + cough + flu the next day. just KO in bed and skip whatever lesson there is. and k session for the night failed too. sad.
decided to cook my own porridge after a bad experience with the porridge at 883 once - i think the auntie/uncle put twice the amount of salt in it, ate a few mouthful and thought i was gonna get hypertension.
so it's just vege and minced meat porridge for me and myself. obviously can't finish the entire pot so it became my brunch + dinner. and leftover goes to maomao. while i was suffering here, i swear he was the happiest dog that day - finally not chicken breast.
friday
friday was polling day! woohooo. first time in my life history to have a say in politics.
since my father had to work that day, my parents and i went over to vote at 8am. and before we even reach riverside, there were already early birdies queueing outside the school omg. singaporeans' kiasu-ness at work? or seriously, everyone there has to work that day?
the process didn't even took 5min and it was kind of a no-brainer who to vote for in semb grc. it's not that we are brainwashed, but honestly, if the competition was stronger and more logical, maybe we would have consider it. but with the lky effect still there, it's no surprise that they won by a landslide.
weekend
ice skating plan got postpone due to imperfect information lol. all the operation and optimizing theories this sem.
and so it was a stay home weekend to rest and recover. didn't really recover much still. :(
oh yeah, went over to zhao's place to discuss our 10% project report and kinda bullshit our way through.
monday
and so it was monday again.
met prof to discuss fyp and so now he wants me to plot more graphs like seriously i think 12 more graphs of different axes. honestly, i don't even know what am i doing for now since prof wanted me to start on experiment before theory. there's another girl who started fyp last sem and is doing the theory part so i am supposed to fill in the experimental portion i guess. so....i hope i get to reference her theory for my report at the end of the day LOL.
prof said he will be away during the recess week so no need meet up anymore till after break, just email him my graphs can liao. like that also can. dunno is it i slack or prof slack but nvm i like. lol.
tuesday
as usual, it is stay-home-tuesday. still sick. no mood for work, maybe i will start after i'm back from genting.
but sick girl still can do carousell sales and trades. not bad, manage to sell off thermo tb in like 1days time and got a decent trade for a dress. maybe i shall just trade off my wardrobe for other clothes on carousell. though i doubt anyone will be interested in my antiques.
wednesday
so went for lectures yesterday finally.
my sis was packing for her Perth trip and she had left a gap in her luggage so that she can buy stuff back. this mao just kept walking into the luggage and slot himself into the gap and sit until very shuang. what you trying to do ah - fly yourself off to perth?
thursday
woke up at 5am and went with my parents to send my sis off. her virgin trip on a plane leh. just like uk during jc time. that was so memorable. from then on, it's just overseas trip again&again. but sadly, my family didn't really have a chance to go overseas together before. hopefully next year family taiwan trip will come true but who's gonna take care of maomao? :( and i'm still sick. what is this. it has been exactly a week already. hurhur. friday went to school for morning lectures and since there was some time to spare. went to catch Inside Out with the boy. was originally planning to watch it at genting but after checking, the show is already taken down. sad. it's okay there's still maze runner and everest for genting trip. saturday went for the free ice skating promotion over at jcube. haha it feels good to spend $3.50 and skate like retards round and round. rather than paying $20 to do so. mostly are uni peeps over there and surprisingly majority does know how to skate, correctly/incorrectly doesn't matter as long as we are moving on the ice. lunch at astons@jcube. the mac and cheese is one of the nicer ones out of the various astons branch that i've tried. though not alot, but i'm pretty sure i've tried mac and cheese across at least 3-4 astons outlet. sunday nope i have no memories of that day. most probably lazing around at home and doing nothing.

IO Week 5
Sunday, June 21, 2015
so my long weekend was spending nuaing at home. long because took mc on fri due to this.
not sure what's the cause of it but there are red spots appearing all over my body and it's fucking itchy.
so apparently it's hives and in my case, it only occurs in aircon places like bus/mrt/office. once i get home, i'm all fine. went to see the doc and he said i could have slight allergy due to extreme temperature transition. eh hello, i have also been taking bus/mrt/going in and out of aircon places for my past 21years of life. how can there be a sudden allergy?? hmm. nvm since consultation fees were waived by the chas card so let the doc say. got some med (i swear he prescribed toooo many) and i only ate one pill and all is well. now i've like $17 worth of medicine with only one pill gone. no more next time no ty.
nua sai day at home. and cooking session with the boy. originally it was supposed to be for a
meal but since there were too much ingredients, decided to split it into two meals.
cooking is fun but so fucking troublesome. there's the preparation part, the cooking part and the cleaning part. omg my entire kitchen is so oily and everything smells like pan seared chicken. had to mop and clean it all over. no wonder working adults just buy back their meals. who is so free to do such things everyday.
but im so sad. my weekends are over already. can i have my holidays?
there's still one more month to go till the end of io.

Batam 2d1n
Wednesday, May 13, 2015
hi guys. im back from our 2d1n trip over to batam~
before that, i've made some chocolate cookies on sun but due to lack of time (had to prepare to go ah ma house), quickly used all the batter and made two batches. the second one had so much batter that my cookies are so fucking fat now. added some nutella in it but no time to tweak the timing to find the appropriate time such that the nutella would flow out in the center. shall try again next time when i have a full free day. probably dont have such a day until the end of io. :(
bought a 2d1n batam deal with the boy to satisfy my short getaway desire. i've no idea how did genting became yc house and ended up into a batam trip. it's pretty much a typical one-day tour package with batamfast and one night stay at Novotel Hotel.
thought i wouldn't be back anytime soon. but went to check on my previous posts, the last time i've went was actually 3 years ago. omg doesn't even feel like three years have passed since then.
met the boy at 6 and train down to catch out 0820 ferry. met with guide over at sekupang and several other travel mates. and just so coincidentally, ziling was on the same bus as us with her bf and friends. lol the world cannot be any smaller.
brought us over to a still-building-in-process temple dedicated to Zheng He and he was actually a muslim. didn't know that lol. anyway, if you wanna know how bright and sunny it was in batam, just check out how white my face is in that photo. nope, no foundation or any cc cream on my face.
brought us over to a batik shop selling local products and Golden Factory Outlet. nothing much to get there. there was a go-kart area but it was so hot everyone just wanted to hide in the shades and eat some ice cream. at least we were really lucky that it didn't rain that day even though the weather forecast said so. the boy's overwhelming presence as usual. #bhb
bought some snacks and this orangey prawn cracker is actually quite nice!
lunch over at Golden Prawn 933 restaurant included in the package. like what all reviewers said, the food was really bad. no lies. hard rice and tasteless dishes. the best would probably be the kang kong and fried sotong.
anyway, even the drinks were a lie. lol what's with fake coke and sprite?
it's okay, i was well prepared for this after reading all the reviews before the trip.
went to another factory outlet store, a tua pek kong temple, chocolate factory and Diane's kueh lapis. all these are places that we've went before during our previous trip to batam so nothing much for us to see either.
so the main purpose of the package was the massage at Sawadika. had the traditional massage without the additional aromatherapy + 30min upgrade. we tried that last time round and ended up all gooey and oily. yuck. so now we are smart enough to just stick to the original 1hour massage included in the package.
dropped us off at Batam City Square (BCS) mall for an hour shopping trip while some of the guest who stayed nearer to bcs went for their check-in.
we've been here previously so there really wasn't much to see either. i was more interested in Nagoya Hill and Megamall. bought some snacks from the supermart. the only thing that's cheap in Batam is the food. it's ridiculously cheap. that a meal can cost around 1 to 2 sgd. the arcade is 10cent sgd per token and every attraction is like 2tokens lol. cheap thrills. bought a denim outerwear at a not really cheap price but too lazy to bargain since we only left less than 5min to gather. we really had too much rupiah to spare.
the guide then send us off one by one to our specific hotels to check-in. he personally helped with every single check-in process and ensured that we are safe and sound. the guide was really so friendly we don't mind tipping him and the driver 10bucks. a really friendly guide and funny too with alot of general knowledge to share about batam. his name is Fendi - totally recommended. he even offered to get a chinese speaking cab for us to go Nagoya Hills but we couldn't contact him later on cause his battery was flat LOL.
so we checked in at Novotel. spacious room. really love the bed cause it's at the right hardness for me. the boy finds it too hard though haha. so comfy.
couldn't contact Fendi so we ended up getting the direct cab from the Novotel taxi counter at a fix rate of 5bucks for one direction. pretty ex but we are really too lazy to find alternatives. initially wanted to walk over for 20min. what a stupid idea. the path weren't even well-lit and it's not even walkable. lol. thank goodness we decided to get a cab instead.
went over to Nagoya Hill, the largest shopping mall in Batam. about the size of jurongpoint.
had our appetizer for dinner at A&W. haha possibly my first time trying it out. not bad but the root beer float is really gigantic we couldn't even finish half of it.
had our main dinner at Gadeno New York pizza and steak. it really taste like the food i've had in JB. i think local food would taste better in batam than such western food. too full to try out bak kut teh which our tour guide suggested though.
so we just spend the night exploring Nagoya Hill before cabbing back to hotel.
breakfast included in hotel. the pancakes and eggs were probably the best. the soy milk taste really "fresh" not like artificially sweet.
how can someone's nostrils be so big?
another guide came over to send us to Batam Center ferry terminal which is located beside Megamall. just nice a new mall to explore before heading home. but all three shopping malls actually have similar stuff so nothing special. the boy decided to get a nike pants at a slight discount since we were still left with too much rupiah.
ferry back to sg and had our late lunch cum dinner over at vivocity.
tried the ramen at Menya Musashi. opted for the white broth (normal) with cha shu. not bad but definitely not as good as ippudo nor the legendary ichiran. we still miss that so much~ got myself a 5dollar top from cotton on and decided that we are too poor to shop in vivo haha. all we have left are many many rupiahs and no more sgd. back home to catch up with family, daily life and some games and shows. time to head over to school tomorrow to settle fyp. reality is back again
