just in case you aren't aware, my house is undergoing a big renovation for my living room right now.

so...my tiles burst in the middle of 18th April. even till now i still remember the date cause it's my fucking fyp submission dateline.

just before i left the house suddenly it sounds like raining marbles from the ceiling...which followed by firecrackers in my face. and then the tiles just started jumping up across the entire room. dumb dog was standing right in the middle of it. had to pick him up and run out of the house.

...i honestly thought something's gonna explode...

and so...it has been 3 weeks since and my entire living room has a brand new coating of tiles. maybe some pictures for you next month? gonna repaint the entire living room too! can't wait to see how everything turns out.

and yeah...so after the "explosion", i still had to freaking go school and submit the report. it was the last day of submission dateline...

so...mao was left to fend for himself in the house after shutting him in a room. LOLOL. IM SO SORRY MAO.

smiling away while thinking "will my room tiles explode as well?!?!? ...mao is a goner."

so...shifted all the living stuff into my sis bed room.

and my parents went to taiwan and left the 3 of us to clean the house while my mom's friend does the tiling.

and my father won a mini toy for my sis from shooting balloons lolol. too old for this.

not sure if this dog knows wads even going on for the past weeks.

fyp presentation was a complete joke. kinda long to describe here but yeah, im sure it's pretty unforgettable.

some shiok maki to celebrate the end of fyp!!! weeeee.

met up with clique and settle like most parts of aussie trip. at least flight + accom seems to be pretty much settled. left tasmania.

AND THE BOY IS FINALLY HOME!

this 4.5 months im not even sure how did we get through it.

but time just seems to have flown past and we are back to where we were.

so many things happened in april.

finally it's all over and settled. and i can have a good rest soon once my part time job is over at the end of this month.

cant believe the week is already over. what's happening, why is time passing so fast even though i was home for most days?

had an impromptu birthday celebration for yl on wed with the clique. dinner at west since somehow most of us are located there. and they designed the so-appropriate cake for him lolol.

read that on fb. kinda true i guess?

but really, who would deny all the good things psychology/horoscope likes to say?

met the boy for Sushi Express, supposingly for the $1 promo at jurongpoint but the queue was imbaaaa. so we decided to ditch it and head over to westgate's.

love to eat sushi express in the afternoon especially when there's no crowd. so we stayed there and filled our tummies for two hours. maybe because it's noon time, there's like sooo little variety. but it's okay since there's no time limit, just chat and chat until some salmon appears.

why do i look like i kena punched in the photo above?

and forgot for every how much spend, you get a tea bag but it's from korea. i thought sushi express is from japan? no?

haha anyway the furball at home has gotten his haircut. LIKE FINALLY. otherwise, the fur at his eyes are getting so long, he is giving that sad face everyday.

the pet groomer at wdl has closed down so my parents brought him over to the one at marsiling.

and now he looks like a skinny mouse. i thought u have grown fatter, but i was so wrong. don't judge a dog by its fur.

every time he becomes botak he would be shivering away so we had to put some doggy clothes on him for the night.

monday was just about school i guess. let's skip that.
tuesday is nua sai day as usual.

wednesday

went for lessons before heading home and went over to airport to fetch en home.

and so, en's plane last minute decided to land in terminal 3 and didn't inform us so we weren't aware of it and headed to the temporary T1 carpark at T2. so we took skytrain from T2 to T1 and realised there's no such plane on the board for T1 arrival lol. only then we found out that it landed at T3 instead. and just so coincidentally, the skytrain was under repair for T1 to T3 so for the first time (i didn't even know it was just a 5min walk), we walk over to T3.

anyway, their luggage cocked up and didn't arrive at the belt until 30min later.

haha and she gave me this pouch while i kop the cap from her haha. the cap is from the poly they went to but at least it looks pretty good.

thursday

public holiday~ with highest record psi. lol. so my family had their usual mj session while i finally started doing some revision for stupid operation research.

the prof always say "even though i have said this many times / explain this / mentioned that this is important, when it comes out in exams, half of the cohort still can't do it."

wow, why am i not surprise when your teaching is so...bad.

friday

skip school for long holidays tgt with the pri&sec sch kids.
wanted to head down to library since the weather is so humid nowadays. but obviously my lazy ass decided to glue itself to my mattress a little while longer.

and...the day was spend trying to understand the same operation research notes still.

after finally understanding certain parts, realised that the report we submitted not long ago was full of shit. LOL

saturday

went back to school for supplementary class for pyp. so hardworking, i know.
because i'm gonna spend 3days over at genting from mon-wed. not much time left for recess week.

met up with clique for zi char dinner at marsiling 136. been 9months since we last been here. and attendance wasn't too bad last night. went over to yoshi's house for mooncakes and mj session afterwards. ting sent a bunch of our old secondary school photos that we don't even remember taking before. the hair, the clothes, we were so cute then. hahaha.

sunday

tuition in the morning and joined my family who went over to amk for the hdb flea event early in the morning. my 大姑 jio us one lol. she is a veteran in this. selling our soft toys and clothes for like $2/$3. lol cheap cheap. although our profit was only $32 at the end of the day so it's $5 for each of us. LOLOL. was kinda fun actually. and maomao was our mascot for the day. cute si le.

went over to chinatown since my sis needed to take some photos for her school work. the streets were soooo empty. must be the effect of haze.

and that pretty much sums up this week.

meeting the boy at 515 tomorrow means i gotta get up at 430. omg.

sick girl since the day after night safari. a random flu + cough + tons of phlegm.
yes, i totally blame the haze. otherwise, my only illness usually sprouts from a tonsil infection. it's very uncommon for me to be down with a flu first.

explains why all the photos/snapchat are just me and mao. sick girl can't do much.

so let's see what happened before i fell sick last week.

monday

probably the only day i went school in week 5? don't really remember what happened on that day. oh yeah went for lectures and sick zhao might have passed her virus to me. LOL. no la i still think is the haze. #everythingblamehaze

tuesday

as usual fucking slack day at home. did more jelly experiment so that at least there's some data to show prof on following week. im so sure this experiment is bound to be filled with tons of error.
but it's okay something to show better than nothing.

wednesday

since second lecturer decided to upload tutorial solution. no longer any incentive to go for early morning lesson. just pon. my last sem of modules feels like the slackest. so if all goes well this sem, 0aus next sem + fyp?

anyway, met up with the boy to book our 3D2N genting trip for recess week. cheap cheap $83 including two night stay and return coach. i thought supposed to have a RM40 dining voucher but maybe not. nvm~

cab to night safari afterwards. around $10? too lazy to change bus here and there.

just in case you aren't aware, night safari is having a SG50 promo right now for the entire month of September. Half price $21 for admission between sunday to thursday excluding eve & ph.

seriously, it's not worth it to pay 42bucks for this small park. that discount is the only reason why i dragged the boy there now.

had a mini shopping spree on carousell. kinda obsessed over shift dresses so i bought a few. the sad part is why are they all so short? it's not like i'm tall or what, i'm just a puny 155cm girl. how is it that the dresses are like tops to me?

so that stripe dress is the only one that has a pretty decent length. bad fashion choice for night safari. the material is kinda thick. thank goodness it rained that day so it was rather cooling at night. otherwise, i would have probably soak my dress with sweat.

it took us around 3hours to finish touring the entire park. rode the tram once + completed all the walking trails + caught the performance once. so i suggest you go early like 7pm if possible.

thursday

hohoho. immediately fever + cough + flu the next day. just KO in bed and skip whatever lesson there is. and k session for the night failed too. sad.

decided to cook my own porridge after a bad experience with the porridge at 883 once - i think the auntie/uncle put twice the amount of salt in it, ate a few mouthful and thought i was gonna get hypertension.

so it's just vege and minced meat porridge for me and myself. obviously can't finish the entire pot so it became my brunch + dinner. and leftover goes to maomao. while i was suffering here, i swear he was the happiest dog that day - finally not chicken breast.

friday

friday was polling day! woohooo. first time in my life history to have a say in politics.

since my father had to work that day, my parents and i went over to vote at 8am. and before we even reach riverside, there were already early birdies queueing outside the school omg. singaporeans' kiasu-ness at work? or seriously, everyone there has to work that day?

the process didn't even took 5min and it was kind of a no-brainer who to vote for in semb grc. it's not that we are brainwashed, but honestly, if the competition was stronger and more logical, maybe we would have consider it. but with the lky effect still there, it's no surprise that they won by a landslide.

weekend

ice skating plan got postpone due to imperfect information lol. all the operation and optimizing theories this sem.

and so it was a stay home weekend to rest and recover. didn't really recover much still. :(

oh yeah, went over to zhao's place to discuss our 10% project report and kinda bullshit our way through.

monday

and so it was monday again.

met prof to discuss fyp and so now he wants me to plot more graphs like seriously i think 12 more graphs of different axes. honestly, i don't even know what am i doing for now since prof wanted me to start on experiment before theory. there's another girl who started fyp last sem and is doing the theory part so i am supposed to fill in the experimental portion i guess. so....i hope i get to reference her theory for my report at the end of the day LOL.

prof said he will be away during the recess week so no need meet up anymore till after break, just email him my graphs can liao. like that also can. dunno is it i slack or prof slack but nvm i like. lol.

tuesday

as usual, it is stay-home-tuesday. still sick. no mood for work, maybe i will start after i'm back from genting.

but sick girl still can do carousell sales and trades. not bad, manage to sell off thermo tb in like 1days time and got a decent trade for a dress. maybe i shall just trade off my wardrobe for other clothes on carousell. though i doubt anyone will be interested in my antiques.

wednesday

so went for lectures yesterday finally.

my sis was packing for her Perth trip and she had left a gap in her luggage so that she can buy stuff back. this mao just kept walking into the luggage and slot himself into the gap and sit until very shuang. what you trying to do ah - fly yourself off to perth?

thursday

woke up at 5am and went with my parents to send my sis off. her virgin trip on a plane leh. just like uk during jc time. that was so memorable. from then on, it's just overseas trip again&again. but sadly, my family didn't really have a chance to go overseas together before. hopefully next year family taiwan trip will come true but who's gonna take care of maomao? :(

and i'm still sick. what is this. it has been exactly a week already. hurhur.

friday

went to school for morning lectures and since there was some time to spare.

went to catch Inside Out with the boy. was originally planning to watch it at genting but after checking, the show is already taken down. sad. it's okay there's still maze runner and everest for genting trip.

afterwards went for mae night. met the lab rats. and my top is making me look fat. or maybe it IS fat. shall rmb not to squeeze out my arms fat next time.

saturday

went for the free ice skating promotion over at jcube. haha it feels good to spend $3.50 and skate like retards round and round. rather than paying $20 to do so. mostly are uni peeps over there and surprisingly majority does know how to skate, correctly/incorrectly doesn't matter as long as we are moving on the ice.

lunch at astons@jcube. the mac and cheese is one of the nicer ones out of the various astons branch that i've tried. though not alot, but i'm pretty sure i've tried mac and cheese across at least 3-4 astons outlet.

nope i have no memories of that day. most probably lazing around at home and doing nothing.

oh man i forgot to blog last week so i shall combine two into one.

this blog is turning into a bi-weekly update. oops.

Week 3

nothing much during week 3 of school. we did some operation research experiment that requires us to do some probability test with coins. 10 coins to be exact. so we ended up shaking it in a laptop bag. lol i doubt our results are actually random.

maomao begging us to bring him along to orchard but no you can't, you poor lil fella.

went fareast with family on sun to shop for some shoes. got myself a pair of wedge while my sis got their shoes. and en's one, the sole fell off after 2days. LOL. #sadsiher

Week 4

let's chop chop get on to this week.

had dinner with the guys at Boon Lay power nasi lemak stall. hai hao.

but oily and fried food always taste decently yummy. likewise to all unhealthy food.

so i saw a video that shows how to make a doggy bed with simple items and obviously impulsive me wanted to try it out.

bought the pool noodle on qoo10 for $4 and self-collected it the next day. immediately tried to make the bed for maozi.

omg but my fat ass dog is too big for that small bed. NOOOOO.

i must have gotten the wrong pool noodle size. damnnnn. wasted.

so now we are back to square one and mao have to sleep on the towel. not that he actually sleeps on it. he kinda hates it and always pull it away so he can sleep on the cooling floor. the only time he will actually need the towel is when he become botak.

went to Comex 2015. and roam around since nothing to buy.

so there was this Gamex corner that allows everyone to try out games and earn credits to exchange for items or participate in lucky draw. the amount of credits required to exchange anything is kinda ridiculous - 100+ credits and you only get 5 credits each time. are they trying to keep the little kids entertain there for hours while their parents go shopping? we randomly helped to create an acc for i-dont-even-know-what-is-the-name-of-the-game and got 5credits each. since you need 10credits for 1 entry into the lucky draw, i hope the boy wins. :D

packed out some of my shorts and pants that are too big/too tight/spoil/dirty to throw and possibly try to sell them off. highly doubt will sell any though lol.

gotta pack the clothes next time.

and week 4 is coming to an end soon. the upcoming week seems to be pretty interesting - going to night safari + polling day + free ice skating. haha cant wait.

omg. what's happening. why is time passing sooo fast recently.

didn't even realise that i forgot to update my weekly post.

last week was pretty eventful i supposed?

met up with matthew and his family whom were here in sg for holidays and the three of us became tour guides. sw's bro kindly drove us to (and back) upper thomson for supper. turns out after trying like 4 kinds of prata, laksa, bcm, fishball noodle...the thing that they loved out of all is...the fishball. LOL. and it wasn't even handmade ones. it looked more like dodo's.

so we decided to meet them on sat again. had lunch with jl @ Yakun cafe? was it even a cafe? but it sells main dish which i dont think is commonly found? the mee rebus and mee soto were pretty normal.

because matthew's father treated us for all the meals during supper night. felt kinda bad and decided to give them a "Singapore Souvenir Pack". damn, we forgot the fishballs.

even though we were supposed to be bringing them around but apparently we are not really familiar ourselves. haha. and due to time constraint, only managed to show them around mbs. maybe, next time?

so everyone went off for their evening plans while i met the boy at orchard. he bought the SG50 Xiaomi portable charger combo which comes with a silver and pink portable charger. haha and i got the pink one. :D but what's with the SG50 logo man. and why does the logo look like it's the outline of a pig?

and as always, somehow or rather, our date night becomes like this.

getting trolled by mario game and owned by the boy in Call of Duty. he bully me, i sucked in using the controller :(

that pretty much sums up last week.

had swensen for dinner last night at jurong point. omg, the food wasn't good at all. even cwp's better.

tried the mac & cheese which pretty much look and tasted like macaronis swimming in a pool of cream. edible but that's about it...

and so fyp is starting this sem. met up with the prof and instead of doing the normal route of literature reviews, he told me to carry out experiments first. which explains the JELL-O. but fuck me, why did i buy JELL-O, should have bought the agar agar instead. JELL-O is sooooo watery and bouncy, how am i supposed to do the loading. shall get my packet of agar on thu instead. haiz

i foresee spending a bomb on jellies. hopefully everything's claimable.

and i just have to say - we are freaking lucky to be back safe and sound from bangkok just two weeks ago. the place where the bombing incident happened was exactly around the corner where we stayed. and we have to walk along that street since Chitlom, the bombing site, was the nearest bts to our hotel. can't imagine what would have happened. now that i look back at the video we took, i swear none of us ever had the thought of such a thing happening anytime. we were so carefree, so happy. i wouldn't say the same for subsequent trips anymore.

this must be the most hardworking and slackest sem ever in my entire 3 years.

hardworking for the fact that i'm going lib every single day except sun from 9-5pm.
slack for the fact that i don't touch a single thing from 5pm till i sleep. haha.

so it's just anime, drama and game all night, every night.

i guess it gets to a point where i just wanna enjoy more rather than studying for the entire day.
it explains why i've nothing but such crap to write for the past week since all i've been to is woodlands lib.

it's okay. fri and i will be back. :D

weee. school's finally over and now all that's left are finals. i actually prefer this phase. at least i know after that 4 days of papers, it would mean true freedom till io starts. can't wait till then even though i'll only have a week before it starts.

this was my view for the past two days and it will probably be so for the next two weeks.

my font size for cheat sheet is getting so small i think whichever invigilator who's gonna walk pass me during the paper would be shocked.

our last splurge before finals was at Hot Tomato. some beefy goodness before we embrace the study week.

caught ff7. the action was definitely good as always. but what really strike me the most was the ending song. the song is so apt, it's really kinda sad thinking about it.

and so my night time has become pure slacking session. one or two rounds of game and some doodling session.

im not sure why but the colour turns up weird whenever a white background picture gets uploaded onto blogger. sad. :(
