went over to Koh Grill & Sushi Bar for lunch this afternoon.
one advice - please make reservations beforehand. don't assume that a weekday lunch would be any less crowded. thankfully, we reserved our seats and avoided a queue of 10plus people.






ordered the Shiok Maki 1st gen, some skewered sticks and grilled salmon with rice.

the shiok maki is definitely the best of the three. wrapped avocado and unagi with salmon and fish roe top with their special mayo&cheese sauce. it wasn't really cheesy and one plate of that is enough to fill one's stomach. really good. i shall just order that for any subsequent visit.

the skewered sticks were a lil small. i know pictures on menu are always a lie but wow, i seriously thought it would be about Tori-Q skewers size. but no, it's really smaller. taste wise not bad but we regretted ordering the oyster wrapped in bacon. the boy and i almost puke even though he took only one bite while i didn't, the smell was too horrendous. sorry oyster, you will never be our friend.

the grilled salmon was good. the salmon wasn't overcooked so it's still moist while the skin is cripsy. that takes skill. two bowl of rice was too much.


toured around town afterwards. got myself a draw string bag at scape for only $5. cheap cheap. useful for phuket.

went back for dinner with family over at 768. after the boy is out of ns, we don't really seem to eat dinner nowadays. lol. so i guess dinner time is for family now.
