hi guys, i'm back from the land of smiles. such an appropriate picture to start off. lol.

my third trip overseas by plane. love such getaways, if only money isn't such a big issue i would really love to travel the world.

a rather random trip decided on impulse because of the cheapo tiger deals for air tickets.

so it's just the 8 of us who could make it. sadly the rest couldn't.

whole trip was around Patong beach area. stayed at Patong Hemingway's Hotel. really a gem in the middle of the area. everything within walking distance, wifi, rooftop pool and bar. total awesomeness.

a summary of daily events.

Day 1

pretty much just toured around the area. getting to know the routes. realising that everything's pretty expensive around here. lol. ate a very spicy noodle salad thing and dinner at a small local shop selling beef/pork noodles and rice. pretty yummy. and i have no memories of what happened for the rest of the day. lol. went back to hotel pretty early since we had to wake up early the next day for our island hopping trip.

Day 2

island hopping for literally the whole day till evening.

Maya bay with emerald water. sounds so magical. lol. but it's the most crystal clear sea i've seen in my life. really love such clear waters. snorkeling and feeding of fishes. more island hopping and buffet lunch.

back to hotel dead tired. went out for more shopping session and seafood dinner. not cheap man. the crabs were really tiny lol how i miss the butter yolk crabs at Marsiling Blk 136 zi char. probably collapsed for the night soon after more walking. legs were giving way.

Day 3
breakfast at next door hotel lobby after being convinced by yl and his eggs.

yeah those eggs that seduced him. but the breakfast buffet was really good. decent variety.

a day at the beach afterwards. but suay me with my oh-so-accurate period just have to come right smack in the middle of the trip. so no water activities for me. T.T me shall try those next time. and white water rafting that we didn't go for.

packed lunch back to eat at our hotel's pool side tables. even though the pool was so tiny smaller than my living room but it feels more like our own private pool. nobody else around.

more shopping afterwards and wantonmee for dinner that taste totally thai style. they add a pile of sugar by the side for your to mix in it. looks more like pad thai than wantonmee. started raining afterwards so we bought ponchos and looked like a bunch of condoms. the rain stop like almost immediately after. lol. so we are practically the only ones wearing ponchos walking on the streets.

hoho. night life afterwards. phuket night life is really an eye-opener. you will know what i mean if you have been there. PPS and Russian Strip Club. i do admit the first one was more...appalling compared the the second which really was too mild compared to the first. pretty much concludes the day after we got bored of RSC.

Day 4

the day when we spammed our money. shopping and more shopping. decided to get some stuff for others who didn't make it for the trip. bought some shirts for my family. not forgetting some souvenirs for the girls.

yummy lunch at the mango sticky rice shop. foot massage afterwards before concluding the trip.

really short but fun trip! man, i want more of such overseas events.
